In this VSE Videography Spotlight, we talk with Paul Yonamine. Paul K. Yonamine is the Chairman and CEO of Central Pacific Financial Corp., the parent company of Central Pacific Bank where he serves as Executive Chairman. Prior to joining Central Pacific Financial Corp., Mr. Yonamine was Executive Chairman of GCA Corporation, Japan, the largest independent M&A advisory investment bank listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Mr. Yonamine served as President and Country General Manager of IBM Japan, Ltd.. Previously, Mr. Yonamine served as President and CEO of Hitachi Consulting Co., Ltd., where he founded the first consulting and solutions business for Hitachi Ltd.. Mr. Yonamine also served as Executive Vice President and Chairman of BearingPoint Asia Pacific, President of KPMG Consulting in Japan and Managing Partner of the Hawaii operations of KPMG, LLC. Mr. Yonamine serves on the board of directors of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation of Japan (SMBC). He is Chair-elect of the Board of Directors of the U.S.-Japan Council, having formerly served as its Chair of the Board of Councilors, and is also on the board of directors for the Pacific International Center for High Technology Research.
