In this VSE Cardiology Spotlight, we talk with Dr. Yasmine Ali. Dr. Ali has served as Director of Preventive Cardiology and Director of Echocardiography at Meharry Medical College, an independent medical consultant to multiple companies, an obesity expert, and a physician editor. She has been a medical writer for over 20 years. She currently holds the position of President at LastSky Writing, LLC, as well as the positions of Consulting Scientific Director at M Health, Medical Reviewer at Verywell Health, Verywell Fit, and Verywell Mind, Medical Reviewer at HealthCentral, Physician Reviewer at OMCA Inc, Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt School of Medicine, and Chief Editor of Atherosclerosis and Congenital Heart Disease at Medscape Reference Drugs & Diseases from WebMD. She is also at work on a variety of commercial writing projects; her current work-in-progress is a narrative history of the Waverly Train Disaster of 1978 and its effects on emergency medical response teams today. As we can see from her plethora of achievements and positions, Dr. Ali is a very successful and well-known cardiologist who has worked very hard to be where she is today.
